The Southern Cross Day Tour is a hit day tour which incorporates it all; that’s right, you will get an exciting sailing tour, visit to Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet and a great snorkelling experience. With snorkelling gear and lunch, as well as morning and afternoon tea, this exciting day trip is great value for money. Southern Cross is a fast, spacious sailing boat which takes just 30 passengers. Guests are welcome to assist sail Southern Cross, including hoisting and trimming sails, or taking the helm to steer her around the islands!
Depart from Abell Point Marina at 8:00am
Sail across the Whitsunday Passage
Sail by Hook Island and through Hook Passage
Arrive at Tongue Bay, around 11:00am
Take a guided walk to the lookout over Whitehaven Beach
Follow the path along a board walk down to the Beach
Time to explore the beach and enjoy the pure white sands
In the afternoon, it is time to head back to the yacht for lunch
After lunch motor over to Dumbell Island, just a short trip away
Time for a snorkel and swim on the amazing coral reefs
Back on board, and its time to set sail and cross the passage
heading back to Airlie Beach. Arrive in the marina around 5:15pm
